Date Night Scavenger Hunt Fun
A Date Night Scavenger hunt is perfect whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or just want to change things up for date night. A scavenger hunt can be a lot of fun. You can customize them to pretty much include anything you’d like, and you can create one for little to no cost! Here is how you can plan a fun date night scavenger hunt for your spouse.
5 Steps To Date Night Scavenger Hunt Success
Step 1: Start by planning your “hunt”
The best way to plan your scavenger hunt is by working backward. Instead of starting at the
beginning, start at the end. Where do you want your scavenger hunt to end and how long
should it take to get there? Once you’ve determined that, start working your way backward until
you find a good starting point.
Step 2: Decide on your “surprise”
Your scavenger hunt should have some sort of end goal in mind. You can give them small gifts
along the way, a big gift at the end… or the gift can even be you! However you decide to do it,
you want to think about not only what you will choose, but how they need to be incorporated. If
you have something time-sensitive like a dinner reservation or something along those lines, make sure to make it the early part of the scavenger hunt.
Step 3: Creating your clues
This is hands down going to be the hardest part of the scavenger hunt. While you may be tempted to just print off clues online, I encourage you to only use them as inspiration! Use your online finds to help you come up with places or things to find, but adding the personal touch is what will turn it into a date night adventure. Add personal clues that only your husband would understand or that is special to him. It will make it more romantic and show that you put thought into it.
Step 4: Setting up your clues
If you are going to be working with live people or places, you want to get in touch with them or go to the place ahead of time. Weather, time of day, and a number of other factors can really change the overall plan of your scavenger hunt. Make sure they know what to do when your spouse gets there, as well as what kind of conditions might be in place when you get there. For example, what will happen if it rains, etc?
Step 5: Go through the scavenger hunt yourself!
As tempting as it sounds, do not skip this step! Make sure to go through it yourself so you can fix any potential problems before it’s time for your spouse to do it. Go through once as you’re setting up, and then do it yourself once it’s all set up.
A Date-Night Scavenger Hunt Is As Fun To Plan As It Is To Participate In!
As you can see, planning a scavenger hunt can be pretty easy! I hope this romantic scavenger hunt is not only fun for your spouse, but that you have just as much fun doing the scavenger hunt as you did planning it!
